Bad Kids Go To...Cannes! (And have fun along the way!)

So in my previous Blog session I mentioned briefly on how the most highly anticipated film, Bad Kids Go To Hell just recently got accepted into the Cannes Film Festival, and was Sold to International rights to the Red Sea Media Executive, CEO Roman Kopelevich.
As quoted in the article;..

"CEO Roman Kopelevich has acquired international sales rights to the comedy thriller from Matthew Spradlin based on the screenplay he adapted with Barry Wernick from the graphic novel of the same name."
Again, I was so excited and thrilled to hear about this, as this is the right type of film that was able to be accepted.
The CEO also had some rave expression and comments towards Bad Kids Go To Hell :

"This is the type of film we here at Red Sea Media would like to be associated with. Its cool, hip and fun!"
Again Kudos to everyone that worked hard on this project and congrats to Matthew & Barry, and the AWESOME cast! Im just that more excited and highly anticipating the count down of the movie's release!
Next Up, everyone should be getting ready for the next highly anticipated Movie Trailers that are set to come out soon (and I hear its VERY H O T (; ...so watch out! ) AND for the Premeire & Screening of Bad Kids Go To Hell at this years San Diego Comic Con in July, on Friday the 13th.
Until then...BE BAD!

New Comic Adaptation Out to Prove that Bad Kids Go to Hell

" If you thought your detention time sucked at school, this one is going to be killer."

Oh Fuck Yeahh! Here's the latest "BAD KIDS" Poster that those Naughty Boys at BKGtH Productions have come up with!

                       AND THIS..BELIEVE ME IS SINISTER!

And you've thought you've seen it all!..
In what looks like to be the Promotional Poster for the Cannes Film Festival (will fill people in on my next blog..), the guys have come up with a rather Dark, Sick looking concept for its Poster.
And I must say..it is looking E.P.I.C.!
The Title, yet the Artwork alone should be able to draw in a massive audience, readily anticipating the films release come Friday 13th of July of San Diego Comic Con this year.
The Poster was released on their Official Bad Kids Go To Hell Facebook & Twitter Pages, on Thursday, 11 of May and I may be abit late on reporting this, but I just didnt get time around to reporting this piece of hot gossip..

But as of right now, There's just something about this I really love, but cant quite put my finger on it--alot was running through my head when I first saw it (not to mention, I shrieked like a crazy One Direction Fan girl once I saw the poster..) but I guess that just shows off as to how I love the graphic novel and soon to be movie.
The thing that really got me about this poster as well is that, the kids shown in the poster are a bunch of unknowns, which I guess was a really good idea since it adds to the whole mystery, dark and sinister style to all the characters apart of it.
So..just thought I'd post this to see what y'all think, and rate I guess.

The Top 8 H.B.I.C's in High School!

The WORST Teenage Girls you can ever encounter in High School!

That's right! You've probably had or have them in your school to..Over the years movie fans have encountered some timeless High School flicks that will always be remembered in some fashion, and in some cases memorable. Here's a list of a few no good Queen Bees who enjoy making checklists of insufferable things to do to poor souls at their schools.

 8.

Starting off the list at number 8 is Laura Lizzie. Every witches worst nightmare (that is until someone puts a hilarious but cruel curse on her). Played by Christine Taylor, Laura is the Head Girl at her exclusive Catholic Prep School in the popular 90s Witchcraft film, The Craft (1996).
Throughout the film Laura Lizzie tortures and puts Rochelle (the sistah of the group) through some limits of hell, by making racist comments about her hair and calling her a negroid....  during swimming and diving practise at school...to which their instructor’s only response is: “Put a lid on it Laura”… yeah, that’ll teach her.
Which comes to the next part in the film that made me piss myself and love it that much more......

You will be punished for your racism, Laura Lizzie!

7.

Hot Stars of the 90s Sarah Michelle Gellar (TVs Buffy) and Ryan Philippe (I Know What You Did Last Summer) sizzle as a pair of wealthy and manipulative step siblings in this deliciously wicked tale of seduction and revenge.
CRUEL INTENTIONS..
stars Kathryn as the evil, yet beautiful step sister of Sebastian Valmont, who pair up together  (and make some bets..)on whether Sebastian can bed with Annette (Reese Witherspoon) a virgin who wants to wait until marriage. If he loses Kathryn gets his Roadster, if he wins, he gets Kathryn.
Good,Smart, and a wonderful love/drama flick that I'm sure everyone will love, and hate Kathryn for everything she does in this film at the same time.

                                                                               6.

"You'll never look at an outhouse the same way again.."  said by Nick Shrager on RottenTomatoes.com.
Boy hes got it!

In the second film of the popular 80s Sleepaway Camp Franchise, and in my opinion the most hilariously dirty,sick-twisted but yet gruesome horror flick of all of them, really did become one of my fave to cherish.

And all because of one certain snot nose, god-awful bitch, who really I must say, loved owning every single girl there was at Camp Rolling Hills.
Her Name Was : Ally..
From sleeping with random boys (and asking them afterwards if they had any diseases?..), to tormenting and making every opportunity to humiliate the camp counsellor Angela Baker (Pamela Springsteen).
Yup. Ally was a Bad Girl at heart. With so many times she butted head with the Camp Counsellor, Angela who just happens to be a psychopath, ended up killing her for being a bitch.
And she had this one coming....

5.

Coming in at Number 5 is the lovely Courtney (Rose McGowan) in the 90s comedy Heathers'esqe, Jawbreaker.

Okay so this movie has Heathers written all over it down to a tee, but you cant help but admire Courtney and her Lil side-kick Marcy (Julie Benz) take over the school, brainwashing everyone into thinking that the "Prom Queen" of the school was murdered in a fake rape attempt (when in fact she was murdered by Courtney during a 17 Birthday Prank Gone Wrong!) The eccentric outfits Courtney wears may have Queen Bee smudged all over her in Marcy's fake lipstick, but the ending of the film and what occurs to Courtney may be a sign that kharma truly does come back to sting you in the ass.
Courtney = 0  The World = 1000x

4.

..Georgia King simply has it all.
From starring in her first ever chick flick Wild Child (2008), as the Head Girl at an Elite Boarding School in England, she plays the rather stuck-up, spoiled "Ra Ra" who thinks no Girl can simply step in her way and challenge her. To be honest, this isn't Georgia's only role has the Vile Queen Bee, she has an AWESOME reputation of playing Bad Girls in other notorious English Teen Films, such as alongside April Pearson, in the horror film Tormented (2009), as well as the recent film Tanner Hall.
She hasn't been in much lately, but my heart will always have a special place for her roles as Bad Girls.

3.

Nancy Allen is probably most famous for her role in the 1976 Classic film Carrie as Chris Hargenson. She may of in fact have become one of the first ever females to pave the way for others of the mean-spirited high school girl of that time, which is why I lay my case of putting her in third place.

2.

Shes probably more known as the lovely girlfriend of Tony ; Michelle in Skins.
But in Tormented, shes the English narcissistic Queen Bitch who has alot of will over everyone at her school. making all the girls hate her, and all the boys wanna be with her.
From harassing a girl with her minions in the bathroom, to smashing and purposefully stepping on another girls phone, till it explodes in the poor girls face, theres alot about Natasha that makes you root for her to die. And she does...

        1.

Okay. So this movie is not even out yet, but its expected to come out at the end of this year, and when I say you are going to go Die-Hard (which I'm sure will make ANY Jaded Twihard Fan Jealous,..) you guys are Literally, and I use that term for real, are going to get quite the shock when you witness the High School Hell Raisers of Crestview Academy in Bad Kids Go To Hell (2012).
Yes,the kids that is..what I'm talking about. If any of you guys have read the Graphic Novel, you'll know. And My God! This is going to be quite a one of a kind film.
And the reason why..because of Tricia Wilkes (played by Ali Faulkner)
Shes the reason why she tops all the other hopeless girls who want to be her, but cant and fail miserable. I mean for fucks sake..she rides a freaking Limo to school, specialised just for her. #GOLDEN!
With a potty mouth, looks to die for, and acid wit cruel, but hilarious comments Tricia has to say about everyone, its no wonder that Bad Girls (and Kids!) Go To Hell.
Ladies and Gents. This girl here is truly the epitome of ALL High School H.B.I.C' Starlets.
It can be just from one look in her eyes or that dreadful, evil, yet cheeky smirk she may make at you
There is a reason why shes on this list at number. 1, so Mean Girls who have come before. HEADS DOWN, ASS UP..TAKE NOTES!
The Movie I'm sure is going to do the Graphic Novel Justice, and I for one cant wait for the masses to witness it!

So thanks for reading, and just remember this list isnt meant to be taken for real. Its just on my oppinions alone. Any thoughts tell me about it in the comments..

In Other news...

DIRTY Dancing is a classic film. If you havnt seen the original, better hurry because Hollywood is about to ruin it with a another freaking millionth remake!
Rumour has it that Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are set to be cast in the lead roles, originally played by the late great Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.
While Bieber and Cyrus have their good points, trust me---they're completely wrong for the roles!!
HOLLYWOOD, DONT DO IT!  PLEASE!

"Oh hidy ho Officer, we've had a Doozy Of A Day"....

This Year Spring Break is cut short, with the Perfect love story...with a High Body Count!

"Oh hidy ho officer, we've had a Doozy Of A Day.."

I dont think people realise how awesomenly popular that infamous quote has seem to become :)
People seem to have taken a liken to that, and who can blame em...that sole quote is the reason why I fell in love with the Movie, and why Alan Tudyk may just be the greatest fuckin comedian ever to grace cinematic history!

Tucker and Dale are two lovable West Virginian Hillbillies, that are headed to their "fixer-upper" vacation cabin to drink beer, do some fishin' and have a good time!
But when they run into a bunch of shit-faced preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw wielding killers, Tucker and Dale's vacation takes a bloody and hilarious turn for the worse.

This movie has got to be just one of the rare genre comedies that perfectly nails it with its blend of grue, guffaws and gag reflexes.
Tucker & Dale first premeired exclusively in Austin during the SXSW 2010 and since just been pretty stagnant and sitting on the shelf for the better past two years.
Now Why??!???
Cuz' its the razor blade tool used in Camp Crystal Lake, shed with rusty remakes and dull, whitless horror sequels that seem to have littered the cinemas for the past going years.
Tucker (Tudyk) and Dale (Labine from a Good Old Fashioned Orgy) are a pair of gut guzzling hillbillie pals who plan on spending their vacation relaxing in an old, but new upstate type of summer home in the woods.
Upon encountering these kids at a Last Chance Gas Station, a group of clean-cut frat kids lead by alpha male Chad (Moss), Tucker urges Dale to talk to leggy blonde Allison (Bowden), but the anxious smiles and freakishly large appearence only happens to frighten the city kids.
Okay a lil bit of a spoiler here *SPOILER ALERT*..
But the dopest death to happen in this film was to have the frat kid high on something, and completely runs afoul of a sternum-piercing tree branch right into his gut, whilst being chased by a terrified Tucker.
Of course after that, the kids assume that his death was caused by the murderous handywork of the two rednecks from the gas station, and from then on it leads to a whole pile of shit of, Havoc, Chaos & Pandamonium!

Tucker & Dale's highly genius running gag is that the whole nightmarish scenario is just a big misunderstanding.
With teens dying all around them, Tucker & Dale are left to think that theyre under siege by some sort of death cult.
Im going to end this film review by saying that its an excellent comedy with terrific horror elements that was one Hell of a crowd pleaser at my local cinema. The audience ate it up and loved every minute of it. This is what sharp writing is all about, old school, when writing actually mattered, over speacial effects. And there is plenty of those. It is very rare that I can praise a comedy/horror film, only because we no longer care about the writing. Its all about Star Power without chemistry or behind the scenes, just what might actually make a buck. And, obviously even clear results do not stop "the machine" from making utter crud. This film in other words may just fit into the categories such as Bromance, Comedy, Horror and maybe even in Indie. Ohh..and did I mention?? Theres Chemistry?? Talent?? YUP. All There. So get on it...like LEGIT!! This could be incredible profitable, if only I wish my Blog had more power to get the word out there, but not only on a film like this, but on more important future upcoming films that are bound to become loved by the masses from around the world, such as Bad Kids Go To Hell .
I hope this does the trick.

The Legacy of Tatum Bass...

Behind the thick crusty walls of Miss Porters Academy

ahhh..my first post of 2012 this year, kick startin it New Years style! LOL. anyway that's not what I'm going to be chattin about. About a month ago or so I was just finishing up on my Bad Kids Go To Hell Review which happened to be my first ever review and blog post i had ever written.
And while I was writing about it, memories started to sink deep in on my mind of my days at a Preppy Private School and the girls and boys I use to mingle with.
While reminiscing through  ALL the crazy shit I use to get up too, at the back of my mind  I was thinking of something as well that I dug up last month about this Popular Girl at an  Exclusive Private School, which is the Infamous Miss Porters Academy.

What happened with this whole dilemma was that apparently Tatum Bass was getting Shit from these girls, about 15 or so of them day in and day out, causing her to skip class and cheat on her tests; and the cause of her expulsion from the academy was that she basically Sucked at Prom Planning.
WTF?? -- Was my initial reaction, okay I get the students, but the Teachers? And the Headmistress??
Come On...

But my rant on this topic isn't just this at all-- its why the media and social groups find fascinating stories like these to reveal to the public.
Some good and some bad...but as I was reading the article on this, I found myself very intrigued, but yet wondering why the hell was I reading it anyway!
The girl obviously sold her story to media stations, magazines, and tabloids.... I mean heck, even Vogue had a special write up about it. The most famous fashion magazine out there.
So Here I go....

When you're at Prep School, the Gloves come off!

And Boy, is that true!
Tatum Bass was the Girl who had everything!
Popular. Successful and by most accounts well- liked.
But something ruined Tatum's experience while at Miss Porters Academy ; a secret she claims known as the Oprichniki named after an old Russian Death Squad from the 16th century.

I am quite shocked and appalled at how the school representatives Handled all of this as Tatum claimed that it had been going on for a couple of years.
Still during all of this the Bass family tried to Sue the school, but nothing came to fruition of it.
As it is already with the times, pop culture is filled with uber- bitchy Prep School Girls, Gossip Girl and Bad Kids Go To Hell being examples and of course Rory off Gilmore Girls as her time was spent at an Elite Private School, Chilton Academy.
The public overall seems to be fascinated by the going - on of the rich, elite, high-society women that are so often documented in TV shows, Movies, Books and Magazines.
I read an article done by the NY Times featuring a page on high life clothes and fashionable accessories that only women with class can wear.
But with its expose of a maybe - but- who- knows- secret society of bitches at Miss Porters and the havoc they wreaked on Tatum Bass's life.

In public school we'd call this "bullying"  and these girls "cliquey bitches".
But not at Miss Porter's. Its Glamorous, mysterious and high- class, because the bullies aren't "cliquey bitches" you see they're a "secret society" that's named after an 16th century Russian torture organisation. So they re smart, well-read, and ruining lives.
"How Tantalising!!" The Times wrote YES!!! Because a young woman having to file a lawsuit against a school that apparently did nothing  after she was repeatedly threatened, harassed and bullied is just so juicy and fun when theres rich girls with SECRETS involved.

Popular TV Shows and Movies such as Gossip Girl (Above)
and Bad Kids Go To Hell (Far Right) involve Spoilt Rotten
Teens who live and lavish in the high life and are
rolling in big $$$$

The school and Tatums tormentors are denying the harassment.
Apparently  Oprichniki has reportedly been disbanded for years, and according to one of it's founders, never had the sinister motives that Bass implies.,but was rather a means to "instill excitement about the secret date of the cherished ring ceremony." (A ritual that has been at the Porter Academy for years..)

Whether or not Bass's claims are true, the fact that the Times seems to cover the story with a breathless, gossipy angle only furthers the ridiculous obsession the public seems to have with prep school girls; the secret societies, the ring ceremony, the traditions etc..
But while some of these things are undoubtly meaning full to women who experience them, the fact that the obvious issue: harassment and bullying is buried a pile of "OMG awesome secret societies!!" is a troubling one and seems to back Bass's claim that the school never took her complaints seriously.
And if the schools and the press that cover them are so wrapped up in the mythology of the whole thing, the realities might slip through the pretty, well-maintained cracks.

A Miss Porters School student on her Horse.

Until next time.....XOXO
